Free Flash Drives from Rock Band Keane

Free Keane USB Memory Stick

The Rock band Keane is including a free USB flash drive with their latest single ‘Nothing In My Way’. They are including the free usb memory stick to allow fans to transfer the songs onto their computer and mobile mp3 devices. The flash drives feature Mp3s, videos of the band, and free Screensavers. Jon Turner the general manager of Keane’s record label Island explained that the band is trying out the free memory stick with the hope of developing it into a credible alternative to CDs by 2007. “I do see it as a potential format for the future,” he told The Guardian, “but I don’t think it’s going to run down the use of digital services. It’s an interesting experiment. I’m keen to see what people make of it.”

1,500 of the gadgets will go on sale with MP3 copies of the band’s single, Nothing In My Way, later this month. The memory stick will be made available exclusively in HMV shops from October 30 and will cost £3.99.
