Sony Will Replace PS-3 SIXAXIS Controllers
Sony has announced that it will replace all Playstation 3 SIXAXIS controllers free of charge. The main issue with the new PS-3 controllers is that they only allow power from the USB charging cable. Since the controller does not allow the use of replacement batteries, the play time of the battery life will dim down as months go by. This is a common problem with rechargeable batteries as time goes by.
A Sony developer released a statement saying that he estimates the average life span will be between 1 - 2 years, depending on usage.
