• Rumor has it some members of the Guardians of Light plan to finally leave Ultima Online, and start playing Freelancer when it arrives in stores. Check out this exciting online game coming next year.
• Microsoft has launched a new web site for MechWarrior 4.

• Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball 2001 is the recipient of the first ComputerGamers.com Gold Award. The award is given to all games scoring a 92 or over. This is a great game, go read the review.

• Are you a Sims fan, and a Sim City fan? Check out the recently announced game called Simsville. The game will be released in 2001, and looks to be like a combination of Sims and Sim City. This looks like it will be a major hit.

• Command and Conquer fans check out the Red Alert 2 page. Westwood Studios also has a new preview site set up for Command and Conquer: Renegade. 

Veiled Threat is a new game in development I found on the web. I purchased a copy of a game called Emergency Rescue Firefighters, and found Veiled Threat on the company website. Firefighters is a mediocre game where you lead a team of firefighters on missions. The interface is very awkward making the game play poorly. Veiled threat is a World War II based game based on the same type of engine, but hopefully it will be improved upon. The screenshots look promising. Stay tuned for more on this game, and a review on Firefighters.

Motocross Madness 2 is in stores now. It was $5 cheaper in Electronics Boutique than in both Babbages, and CompUSA. Motocross Madness 2 is the sequel of the  motorbike simulation of 1998's big hit Motocross Madness by Microsoft. This years game includes a campaign mode where you pay for medical expenses, and upgrades as you work your way up the motor cross circuit. The graphics and game play are incredible so far, but the controls take some getting used to. Keep checking back here for a more in depth review.
