- You have probably noticed that we have not been updating lately, and that is because life is keeping us all busy. The site will not close down, but for now we will not be updating any of our sections. Of course our great list of patches, demos, and reviews is still there for you to use, it is just not completely up to date. We apologize for this, and we hope that you will continue to visit our site in the future.
Hopefully, we will be able to get back on out feet as soon as possible. Until then please feel free to visit our forums, which we still actively monitor. Please visit Bluesnews.com to get the latest computer game news. I personally am a daily visitor there, and they are the number one pc game news site. They have also been great in the past about posting our reviews, and sending us visitors. So I am more than happy to do the same for them.

| World War II Online - Star Wars Movie |
5/14/02 12:30 PM EST |
- A World War II Online player made an awesome game footage movie using the sounds and music from the Original Star Wars. It is a pretty big download, weighing in at 46mb. I liked it so much though that I mirrored it on the site. Click here to watch the film.

| Laser Squad Nemesis Review Posted |
4/13/02 4:25 PM PST |
- We just posted our review of
Co Do Games' tactical play-by-email game
Laser Squad Nemesis!
It took me considerably longer to review it than I would have liked, due mostly to
real-life influences (5 classes this quarter at school), but it's up, and the game rocks! Check out the review
here.
- We've been quite busy here, reworking
a lot of the HTML so that the site is much more cross-browser compatible, more compact for
quicker load times, and more syntactically correct. I have also rewritten
the CGI script used for Patch Requests, and it now works much more efficiently on this end and relies much less on Javascript than previously.
The Patches Section is
getting a face lift (again), as well as the Reviews Section, in order for the site to maintain a more consistant appearance across it's different sections.
- I'd also like to extend a warm welcome to the Earth & Beyond Chapter of the Guardians of Light Online Gaming Organization. With the rapidly approaching release of the game, and open BETA Testing now going on, they are almost frothing at the mouth with anticipation! We are happy to be able to provide an Earth & Beyond - GoL Message Board as an open and public forum for members and non-members to discuss the game.

| Laser Squad Nemesis Launches |
2/21/02 4:47 PM PST |
- Co Do Games announced today the release of Laser Squad Nemesis, a child of sorts to the "cult classic 'Laser Squad' and the hit 'X-Com' series."
"Codo Games has launched its new, futuristic online, strategy game 'Laser
Squad Nemesis', created by the same developers that brought you the hit
'X-Com' series and the original 8-bit cult classic, 'Laser Squad.' The game
is played via email allowing players to challenge anyone with an email
address. 'Laser Squad Nemesis' is a unique combination of turn-based tactics
and real-time action, with each player controlling a squad of up to twenty
units in various battle scenarios. There are two sides to choose from - the
'Laser Marines,' an elite human force, and 'The Machina,' a race of sentient
robots intent on the destruction of organic life. The game is available by
subscription directly from www.lasersquadnemesis.com,
and the price is US$15 for six months unlimited play."
This game looks like it might be a pretty entertaining
diversion, and at $15.00 for six months, it sure beats the pants off the rest of the
MMORPG cadre (though that's not nearly as FREE as the multiplayer element in most RTS games).
Be sure to check it out, and expect a review here shortly.

| Duelfield Expert Beta Test |
2/17/02 9:00 AM PST |
- Scott sent word in a few days ago about
the Duelfield Expert Beta test,
which is now accepting applications. Duelfield Expert is an enhanced, subscription based
version of the free Duelfield Disciple.
The press release states that the "Expert Edition allows players to embody many Deities
and control new sets of Creatures. Each game played earns Deities points that can be used to
strengthen their powers and abilities and those of their Servants. A global ranking system
provides a complete set of stats and keeps track of every game. Richer strategic approaches
and challenge-filled games await players.
Duelfield Expert is currently slated for a March 2002 release.
