BET Hip Hop Awards

This past Sunday at the BET Hip-Hop awards in Atlanta, rapper Jay-Z was honored with an award presented to him by Rick Ross. Coming out of retirement seems to be paying off for Jay-Z.
There were many other BET Award Winners but rapper T.I won the most awards out of the nominees. TI took home 3 Bet awards. Included in those awards were MVP of the Year.
Grandmaster Flash was awarded one of the most prestigious BET awards. He took hime with him the show’s lifetime achievement award, I am Hip-Hop! “To get an award for my technological ability means a whole lot more than anything else I’ve accomplished in my life,” the deejay said.

The show also took a brief time out, courtesy of Diddy, to honor R&B singer Gerald Levert, who passed away Friday from a heart attack, and veteran CBS News correspondent Ed Bradley, who passed away Thursday from leukemia.
“Let’s celebrate their lives,” Diddy said. “People will forever miss y’all.”
The ceremony was emceed by comedian Katt Williams and airs Wednesday on BET. Viewers can also tune in to the BET Hip-Hop Awards Black Carpet pre-show and post-show on Nov. 15 from 8:30-9 p.m. ET/PT and 11-11:30 p.m. ET/PT, respectively.
